hello world!
im back :)
in a single piece!
this church camp has been the most stressful one by far.
mainly because the church elders had put us in charge.
i guess why we were so stressed out was cos they really trusted us, to the point where they really just didnt do anything, didnt ask any questions.
and actually most of the time, they were just sitting there and chatting.lol.
but i can tell that they were really happy to be able to relax, for once.
after all, they have been putting all their time and energy for the past years to serve God, and its time they deserve a little break from the administrative stuff.
and they told us that they find it a relief, a joy to be able to hand down these roles to us. awwwww.
i think we did a pretty good job, too.
although we had absolutely no time to rest or sit around to chit-chat, it felt really nice to be serving everybody else, and give them all that well-deserved rest and relaxation. the venue was awesome,too.
we wanted to book aloha loyang, but it was fully booked.
and thank God, because aloha's become the H1N1 quarantine headquarters.
God's Providence. its so amazing sometimes, isn't it?
and so we ended up at tanah merah safra resort (remember, 2jayers?)
and they recently renovated the entire campsite, and all the bungalows were brand new and clean and pretty and AWESOME.
too bad i didnt have time to take a few shots of the interiors, it was really gorgeous.
and our girl's dorm was right beside the golf course. can you imagine, waking up to see vast, undisturbed green land(behind a net) in the morning? awesome.
and the sounds of airplanes soaring in the sky every few minutes kinda grows on you, and becomes therapeutic after a while. no kidding.
it was just all awesome, really, and things wouldn't have run so smoothly if not for God's grace and providence. there were no cock-ups at all!
and after we checked out today and gathered for our committee debrief, we got a call from the "adults" (as we still fondly call them even though some of us are in our 20s already) to meet them at the cafe and treated us all to ice kachang. awwww.
such love in our church. its been ten years and some, and im really thankful to God for them. for being with my family through all our hard times, for bringing us to Christ, for guiding us.
although our church is small, it is closely-knit, it is warm, we are close, we are family :)
awesomeness.
ok goodnight im beyond tired, even though ive slept for four hours when i came home just now.
